Querschnitt durch eine farbstoffsensibilisierte TiO2-Solarzelle




Auf dem Gebiet der Solarzellen werden sowohl anorganisch-organische Hybridsysteme auf Titandioxid Basis (Grätzel-Zelle) als auch vollständig aus organischen Materialien aufgebaute Solarzellen untersucht.

Vollständige Möglichkeiten zur Präparation und Charakterisierung von Solarzellen sind am Lehrstuhl vorhanden.

Bei der Grätzel-Zelle liegen unsere Schwerpunkte bei der Synthese neuer Farbstoffe, bei festen Lochtransportschichten auf Basis aromatischer Amine und beim Einsatz gelierter Elektrolyte als Transportschicht.

Bei organischen Solarzellen beschäftigen wir uns mit der Synthese und der Untersuchung vollfunktionalisierter Blockcopolymere, bei denen absorbierende, elektronen- und lochtransportierende Einheiten in einem Blockcopolymer vereinigt sind.

Auf dem Gebiet der Solarzellen kooperieren wir eng mit Prof. Michael Grätzel (Photonics & Interfaces Laboratory, EPFL Lausanne) und Prof. James Durrant (Electronic Materials, Imperial College, London)
