| Abstract: Using a metrological scanning force microscope and tailor-made image analysis we evaluate with sub-nanometre accuracy the characteristic lateral distances in thin films of cylinder forming block copolymers. Independent of the molecular architecture and annealing conditions, the lateral cylinder spacings change in a characteristic way as a function of the overall and local film thickness. The changes are distinct, although small, and can not be observed with conventional scanning probe microscopes. |
