Synthesis of Hetero-Grafted Block-Type Brushes by a
Combination of RAFT and ATRP
A synthetic strategy was evaluated towards a novel amphiphilic block-type hetero-grafted cylindrical polymer brush (CPB) via the “grafting from” approach. The diblock copolymer backbone that acted as a polymacroinitiator was prepared via reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization and the side chains were grown from the backbone via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP).
