Abstract: The pH-induced complexation of weak anionic polyelectrolytes and the water-soluble cationic silica nanoparticles (diameter ca. 3.0 nm) will be applied to the development of novel hierarchichally ordered 1D - 3D architectures with stimuli-responsive properties. The formation of complexes depenmds on external stimuli (pH or temperature) of environmental media. The basic understanding of the relationship between the stimuli-responsive properties, specific interactions, and resulting ordered structures with different components will allow us to obtain tailored organic-inorganic hybrids with unique properties for various applications. |
