Abstract: We plan to produce TiO2 hollow nanoparticles containing a magnetic core, which may find important application in catalysis and biological systems. We also want to develop a simple and versatile route to magnetic nanorods and nanotubes using rod-like micelle of ionic surfactants or amphiphilic block copolymers by a seed-mediated growth process. These metal nanostructures with hollow interior can be useful as fillers in preparing composites, effective recoverable catalysts and drug delivery. |
