Jagur-Grodzinski, Ed.: Collective Volume on Living and Controlled Polymerization: Synthesis, Characterization and Properties of the Respective Polymers and Copolymers, Nova Science Publ., Happauge, N.Y., p. 257 (2006)
A variety of complex polymer systems with (meth)acrylic acid segments were synthesized using living and/or controlled polymerization techniques. This review is focused on recent synthetic developments on tailor-made polymers with complex architectures, which include block copolymers, branched polymers, Janus micelles, and polymer brushes containing (meth)acrylic acid segments. Synthetic strategies using anionic polymerization, group transfer polymerization (GTP), atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization, multi-mode polymerization, and other methods will be discussed in detail.
