Sonderforschungsbereich 481

The Collaborative Research Center 481 on Complex Macromolecular and Hybrid Systems in Internal and External Fields“ was established on July 1, 1998 at the University of Bayreuth by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG (German Research Council). The programme is a long term cooperative research effort which includes scientists from Macromolecular Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Experimental Physics, Theoretical Physics and Materials Science. The interdisciplinary research is focused on complex macromolecular systems, colloids as well as inorganic-organic hybrid systems which are capable to organize to nanostructures of well defined form and size on different length scale by internal and external fields.
